You can use all website content, navigation, and App Store links after rejecting optional analytics.

This cookie does not contain a device identifier, advertising identifier, user profile, email address, or analytics session identifier.

Optional analytics

If you allow analytics, Knockout sends manual interaction events to Amplitude and may record your website session for replay. Vercel Web Analytics receives automatic page views. We use this information to count visits, understand which pages and sections are useful, diagnose interaction friction, and measure visits to the Knockout App Store page.

Amplitude events may include:

• the page path without query values and the website locale;
• a referring hostname and allowlisted campaign values;
• finite events for page views, navigation, FAQ opens, and App Store clicks; and
• a random in-memory identifier that is discarded when the page is closed or refreshed.

Amplitude session replays may include:

• snapshots and changes in the rendered page;
• clicks, pointer movement, scrolling, viewport changes, and page navigation; and
• text visible on the marketing website. Form fields and text inputs are masked.

Vercel page-view events may include:

• a timestamp, page URL and route, referrer, and filtered query values;
• approximate country, region, and city derived from the request;
• operating system, browser and browser version, device type, and analytics script version; and
• a request-derived hash that Vercel discards within 24 hours.

Neither integration uses analytics cookies, local storage, session storage, a website user ID, advertising identifiers, or cross-site tracking. Amplitude identity and replay buffering are configured in memory only. Analytics providers necessarily process transient connection metadata when receiving a request.

Providers, regions, and retention

Amplitude, Inc. processes Knockout’s manual analytics events and session replays. Analytics is sent to Amplitude’s EU data centre in Frankfurt. Amplitude states that EU-region customer data remains in the European Union. The Knockout Web project must retain Amplitude data for no more than 12 months and replay data for 30 days.

Vercel Inc. processes automatic page-view analytics, primarily in the United States and potentially in other locations through its subprocessors. Dashboard reporting is available for 1, 12, or 24 months depending on the plan, and Vercel may retain analytics longer so an upgraded plan can show a longer history.

Your choice and withdrawal

Consent is the basis for optional analytics. You can reject analytics on the first-visit notice or select Cookie Settingsin the footer at any time to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawal blocks future events and replay capture and resets Amplitude’s current in-memory analytics identity. Vercel manages its request-derived hash and discards it within 24 hours.

Knockout also honors enabled Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by withholding analytics events.
